白化非洲爪蟾(Xenopus laevis albino,俗称"金蛙")因黑色素合成基因突变导致色素完全缺失。蝌蚪及变态初期个体全身接近透明,心跳、血管与内部器官清晰可见,是活体动态成像的理想选择。成体体色粉红至浅金色,在共聚焦显微镜下色素背景噪声极低,荧光信号对比度显著优于野生型。Albino X. laevis ("golden frog") lack melanin due to a biosynthesis gene mutation. Tadpoles are near-transparent — heartbeat, vasculature and organs are visible in real time. Adults show pink-to-golden colouration with minimal autofluorescence, giving far better fluorescence contrast than wild-type under confocal imaging.
