爪蟾卵母细胞直径约 1 mm,肉眼可见,易于显微操作。外源 mRNA(cRNA)注射后 2–4 天即可在细胞膜上高效表达目标蛋白,蛋白折叠与翻译后修饰与哺乳动物系统高度相近。天然膜背景极为纯净,内源离子通道电流极小,是研究膜蛋白结构与功能的金标准表达系统之一。Xenopus oocytes (~1 mm diameter) are easily handled under a dissecting scope. Exogenous mRNA injected into the cytoplasm yields robust membrane-protein expression within 2–4 days, with mammalian-like folding and post-translational modification. The endogenous membrane background is exceptionally clean — a gold-standard heterologous expression system.
